Privacy Policy

Aerials Amsterdam ("we", "us") runs aerial classes, courses, workshops and events in Amsterdam. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with and what your rights are. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / AVG).

 

1. Who we are

We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

 

2. What data we collect

  • Contact details: name, email address, phone number.
  • Booking and payment details: the classes, courses and memberships you book, attendance, invoices and payment status. Payments are processed by our booking platform; we never see or store your full card or bank details.
  • Messages: what you send us by email, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger or the chat on our website.
  • Form submissions: what you fill in on our website or in forms on Instagram and Facebook (for example your email address, your or your child's age and your preferred class day).
  • Health and safety information: if you tell us about an injury or medical condition, we use it only to adapt your training safely.
  • Photos and videos: taken during classes or events, only with your permission (see section 7).
  • Website and advertising data: pages visited, device and browser type, and how you arrived at our website. We collect this only if you accept cookies (see section 6).

 

3. Why we use your data

  • Managing bookings, courses, memberships and payments (Performance of a contract)
  • Answering your questions and messages (Legitimate interest / steps before a contract)
  • Keeping you safe during classes (explicit consent)
  • Sending newsletters, offers and discount codes (consent; you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • Following up on a form you filled in (for example to send you a discount code or course information) (Your consent)
  • Website analytics and advertising (Your consent via the cookie banner)
  • Keeping financial records (Legal obligation)

 

4. Who we share your data with

We only share your data with service providers that help us run Aerials Amsterdam, and only as far as needed:

  • Eversports: class bookings, memberships and payments.
  • Wix: our website, website forms, inbox and email newsletters.
  • Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp): messaging, forms in our ads and advertising measurement.
  • Google (Gmail, Google Analytics, Google Ads): email and website/advertising statistics.
  • TikTok: advertising measurement, only if you accept cookies.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In that case they use safeguards approved by the European Commission, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

We never sell your personal data.

 

5. How long we keep your data

  • Customer and booking data: for as long as you are an active customer, and up to 2 years after your last booking.
  • Invoices and financial records: 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law.
  • Marketing contacts (newsletter and form leads): until you unsubscribe, or after 2 years without any contact with us.
  • Messages: up to 2 years after the conversation ends.
  • Health information: deleted as soon as it is no longer relevant to your training.

 

6. Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are always on. Analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Ads and TikTok) are only placed if you click "Accept" in our cookie banner. You can decline them with "Decline All" or change your choice at any time via the cookie settings on our website.

 

7. Photos and videos

We sometimes take photos and videos during classes and events to share on our website and social media. We always ask first. You can say no, or ask us to remove a photo or video of you at any time.

 

8. Children and teens

We offer classes for teens aged 9 to 15. For participants under 16 we collect personal data through their parent or legal guardian, and only with their consent. Parents and guardians can exercise all the rights in section 9 on behalf of their child. Photos or videos of minors are only used with written consent from a parent or guardian.

 

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • see the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct it;
  • have it deleted;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • receive it in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from emails.

To use any of these rights, email us at fly@aerials.amsterdam. We will reply within one month.

If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

 

10. Security

We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures. Access is limited to the people who need it to run the studio.

 

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
